JAMMU: Panun Kashmir (PK) warned Government of India about the dangers of soft-pedaling with a growing multi pronged seditious Intifada in Kashmir Valley.
“The policies pursued with regard to terrorist-separatist war in J and K demonstrate a proclivity to abdicate and have only resulted in volcanic separatist eruptions,” Chairman, Panun Kashmir Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, said adding that the soft pedaling has not only helped this Intifada to grow but also facilitated its spill over into areas of Jammu.
Flanked by Convener PK, Dr Agnishekher, Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, while talking to reporters here today, said that the present Intifada is a three pronged assault on sovereignty of the nation in J and K.
“Intifada’s one arm is terrorism, other arm is seditious mobilisation and the third arm is governmental collaboration in terms of instituting measures which smack of abdication of authority and accommodation of secessionism,” he said.
“The often tom-tommed policy of winning the hearts and minds of people by both the State and the Central Government has only resulted in doubly empowering the separatists,” he asserted adding that the recent qualifying of the separatists and secessionists as citizens of India with full rights to meet everybody and anybody has officially licensed the separatists to continue with its anti-national agenda and wage a subversive war from within.
He also described the government policy of public removal of security bunkers and pickets as was done in Handwara recently as an act of self laceration of the credibility of the security establishment particularly that of army.
That the places from where army has been removed he said, are in no time described officially as ‘Peace Parks’ only projects to the world that the Indian security establishments particularly the Indian Army are instruments which have been disturbing peace rather than guaranteeing it.
The handling of situation both by Government of India and the State Government, he added, has undermined the respect and credibility of security forces to an unprecedented level.
He also rejected the policy of Government of India on return of Hindus of Kashmir and urged it to desist from making the internally displaced Hindus as guinea pigs.
The happenings in NIT Srinagar should make GoI wise to understand not only the fundamentalist communal ferment ruling the roost there but also GoI’s abysmal , almost non-existent control of the political sphere at the ground.
Panun Kashmir urged both the State and the Central Governments to stop its policies of harassment of Hindus of Kashmir. “It is shameful that the ration supplies have been stopped in camps for many months now. The electric and water supply to camps is dangerously erratic. Not only that even in the small transition camps inhabited by Hindu employees in Kashmir valley they are being subjected to systematic harassment and intimidation,” they mentioned.
