JAMMU: Police worked out a theft case by arresting one accused and recovering stolen tanker loaded with 9000 litres of diesel.
A team was constituted by Rajiv Pandey, Incharge SSP Jammu comprising Sandeep Choudhary, SDPO City West, Inspector Karan Chalotra, SHO Police Station Nowabad and Sub Inspector Sandeep Charak, Incharge Police Post Canal Road, Jammu under the supervision of Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan, SP City North, Jammu for the investigation of case FIR No. 87/2015 under Section 379/RPC registered at Police Station Nowabad, Jammu.
After a thorough and painstaking investigations, the team arrested one person namely Sukhdev Singh, son of Kartar Singh, resident of Talli Morh Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu and interrogated him.
On the disclosure of the accused person, the Police team proceeded to Awantipura Srinagar and recovered the stolen tanker bearing Registration No. JK02AE-4174 loaded with 9000 litres of diesel. The value of recovered tanker including loaded 9000 litres diesel is approximately Rs. 15 lakh. The investigation of the arrested accused is going on and some more recoveries are likely to be effected.
