JAMMU: Stephens International Public School celebrated Prakash Divas of Guru Gobind Singh with religious fervour and gaiety.
The programme began with recitation of Shabads by students and teachers. Special feature of the programme were poems and speeches by students on the life history of Guru Gobind Singh.
The main motive to celebrate this day was to assert the values, morals, principles and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh among the children. The festive event commemorated with the recitation of Shabad by the students of the school epitomizing their faith in the universal teachings of Guru.
Inter-House Dastaar Bandi Competition was also held on the eve of Prakash Utsav. From the Senior Category, Sarabpreet Singh scored first position and from the Junior Wing, Anurag Singh scored first position.
