Statehood right of J&K people: Azad

DODA: Chairman of Democratic Azad Party, Ghulam Nabi Azad on Tuesday said the grant of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir by the Centre is right of the people, who are craving for guarantee to the jobs and land for the bonafide permanent residents.
“My Democratic Azad Party is fully committed to fulfill the aspirations of the people of my state,” Azad, former J&K Chief Minister, said while addressing a mammoth gatherings at Changa Bhalessa and Gali Batoli on his fourth day of tour of Chenab valley, here Tuesday.
Azad was received by thousands of people at both the places.
While addressing public meeting at Changa Bhellesa, his native pace, Azad assured the people that all the pending f developmental works in Bhelessa in particular and all over J&K in general will be executed more promptly then before.
While referring to the unemployment problem, Azad expressed great concern over the burgeoining issue confronting to the youth. He also expressed dismay over the complete lack of opportunities to the skilled and unskilled workforce apart from the labour class.
He pledged, “We have to work together to find out an effective solution to these pressing problems.”
Addressing another mammoth public meeting at Galli Batoli, Azad expressed his deep concern over the problems being faced by the people belonging to Schedule Tribe community, saying these have accumulated manifold and need immediate redressal.
Azad further added that the people in general need an effective representative dispensation like the government seen by the people of the State during his brief period as Chief Ministership.
He also added: “Our problems are similar and as such we have to fight out these unitedly”..
Azad was accompanied by G M Saroori former minister, Abdul Majeed Wani former minister, Mohd Aslam Goni former Advocate General, Naresh Gupta former MLC, P.R Manhas former IGP, Mohd Iqbal Kohli member DDC, Fatima Begum chairman BDC Kahara and others.
