State, Union Govts fail to curb anti-national forces: JD (S)

JAMMU: Several activists of Janta Dal (Secular), J and K, on Monday held a protest here against the State Government, alleging the utter failure of BJP-PDP Coalition Government in J and K on all fronts.
“Both State and Union Govt have miserably failed to curb anti-national and communal forces in the State who for their vested interests and being on the pay role of enemy country are spoiling peace in the State,” said State President Mast Ram Yogi.
He demanded Jodhpur jail for the separatists including Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Masarat Alam under sedition charges for unfurling Pak flag and making provocative statements against India in Valley.
He also demanded withdrawn of all privileges such as security etc given to them.
“Since BJP-PDP alliance has taken over in the State all the limits have been crossed for discrimination with Jammu province because of sincerity of Jammuites in patriotism and voice for national integration, which was never the expectation and aspiration of the people who voted them to power,” he said.
Shifting of AIIMS to Kashmir a clandestine game by State Govt which is not acceptable and party, he said and demanded immediate establishment of AIIMS of Jammu.
He also demanded immediate establishment of IIT in the vicinity of Jammu, regularization of over 60,000 casual, daily wagers, establishment of National Sports Institute, revision of SPOs wages and extension of medical college in Kathua, Udhampur, Doda and Poonch etc.
Others who were present in protest included State Working President Kulbir Singh, Acting President Ranjav Bargotra, Secretary General R.R Sharma, Senior Vice President Ram Rattan Sharma, Bhagwati Sharan Sharma, H.C Dogra, Amrik Singh, Makhan Lal and Majad Butt.
