JAMMU: The Ninth State Tennis Ball Championship, organised J and K Tennis Ball Cricket Association, got underway at Green Field Ground, here on Thursday. In all, eight teams are taking part in this knock-out competition.
The competition was declared open by District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSS), Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma. He interacted with the teams playing in the opening match and encouraged them.
The Results: Pooch beat Kashmir Division by 19 runs; Jammu district defeated Kishtwar by three wickets; Reasi blanked Kashmir Division by four wickets; Kathua trounced Kargil by five wickets; Kathua downed Kargil by five wickets.
