State Taekwondo team leaves for Nationals

JAMMU: The state Taekwondo ( Kyorugi and Poomse, boys and girls) team under the banner of J and K Taekwondo Association on Tuesday left for participation in the 35th Senior National Taekwondo (Kyorugi ) Championships and Eighth Senior Poomsae Championship to be held at Swarna Bharathi Indore Stadium Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh from 17th to 19th February.
Earlier, the J and K State Sports Council conducted the screening of the team under the supervision of Joint Secretary, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sports Officer, Rajan Sharma.
The Team:
Kyorugi Boys: Rohit Sharma, 54 kg; Vishesh Thakur, 58 kg; Sourav Sharma, 63 kg; Sunil Vaid, 68 kg; Himanshu, 74 kg; Tarun Sharma, 80 kg; Haroon, 87 kg; Narinder Sharma, 87 kg.
Kyorugi Girls: Mehwish, 46 Kg;
Lalita Kumari, 49 kg; Maibam Chanchanbi Devi, 53 kg; Afreen Hyder, 57 kg; Haritha, 62 kg; Heena Bali, 73 kg.
Poomsae Boys: Tashi Tundup, Nitish Anand, Aman Gupta, Arvind Satti, Vipan Sharma, Atul Pangotra, Anuj Sharma, Zaheer Abbass Khan.
Poomsae Girls: Mukta Gupta, Sita, Geeta, Madhu Kumari, Priyanka Sharma, Meenakshi Sharma, Sonika Sharma.
