JAMMU: Joint Secretary, J and K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma on Tuesday declared open the 15th J and K State Open Fencing Championship at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here. The event is being organised by J and K Amateur Fencing Association and sponsored by J and K State Sports Council. Chief Sports Officer of the State Sports Council, Abdul Qayoom presided. Fencers from districts of Samba, Kathua, Jammu, Poonch, Srinagar and Udhampur as also JK Montissory Club are taking part in this open tournament, a handout issued by the Association here on Tuesday said.
Among others present were M.M Sharma, Shottu Lal Sharma, Rachna Jamwal, Rashid Ahmed Choudhary, Ujjwal Gupta, Bhisham Slathia and Pritam Slathia.

BOYS: Under-12: Epee: Devansh, Jammu, Ist; Muneeb Ahmed, Srinagar, 2nd; Purvansh and Siddharth, Jammu, joint 3rd. Foil: Rakshit, Jammu, Ist; Laksya, 2nd; Adhaar, Jammu and Shivansh, joint 3rd.Under-17: Sabre: Amit, Udhampur, Ist; Mayank Kathua, 2nd; Harsh, Jammu and Lakshya Jammu, joint 3rd.
