JAMMU: The 41st State Badminton Championship, organised by J and K Badminton Association, got underway on Wednesday at Police Badminton Indoor Hall at Police Lines, here. The event was declared open by Inspector General of J and K Police, Jammu Zone, Rajesh Kumar, who was Chief Guest.
The opening day witnessed preliminary round of competition in sub-junior and junior groups of boys and girls. Prominent among others present were President of the Association, S.S Wazir, General Secretary, Dr O.D Sharma, Balbir Singh Jamwal, Mohammad Irfan Ullah and Sat Pal Sharma.
