REASI: Star India Cricket Club Thanpal on Wednesday registered win in the ongoing Police T20 Cricket Tournament being organised by District Police Reasi under Civic Action Programme at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being held under the supervision of Tahir Sajad Bhat, SSP Reasi.
In today’s outing, Star India Cricket Club Thanpal made it a fine seven-run win against Zorawar Cricket Club.
Batting first after winning the toss, Star India Cricket Club Thanpal score 137 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Babby was the top batsman with 33 runs off 20 balls while Vikas and Arjun contributed 14 and 22 runs respectively. Movien grabbed three wickets for Zorawar Club while Rinku took two and Shadab claimed one.
In reply, Zorawar Club failed to chase the target and managed to score 130 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs, thus lost the match by seven runs. Shoiab Malik played a fine inning of 51 runs off 24 balls. Rahil and Shadab made 12 runs each. For Star India Cricket Club, Vijaypal Singh and Bawa shared three wickets each while sunny took one.
For his all-round display, Babby was declared Man of the Match. The match was witnessed by President Beopar Mandal Reasi Jodh Singh as a Chief Guest.
Today’s match was officiated by technical panek comprising vishwajeet, vikas and madan thaku.
