Staff retains Sanjeev Lamba as president;CCBSA felicitates Administrator Dr Arun Manhas

JAMMU: The Citizen’s Cooperative Bank Staff Association (CCBSA) felicitated the Bank Administrator and Additional DC Jammu, Dr Arun K Manhas in a function held here. In the same function, the CCBSA elected Sanjeev Lamba as president for second consecutive term. Speaking to the gathering, after his felicitation, Dr Arun Manhas, recalled among other challenges on taking over the Bank as Administrator on the Board of Administrators, applauded the spirit and role of Bank’s staff who according to him worked as a team under his directions and made this bank spiralled fast and termed as a ‘profit earning Cooperative bank’ in his brief period of four months up till 31st March. The NPA recovery which also included recovery in big chunk, redressal of staff grievances such as uniformity in release of salary of the staff, by introducing centralisation of release of salary directly from Administrative Office, releasing the designations of the staff promoted under time bound promotions, as also enhancement of retirement age from 58 years to 60 years and bringing the economical reforms by causing the shifting of Stationary Section and Administrative Office into a single premises.
Further, introduction of Daily Deposit Scheme (DDS) launched for benefits of small traders with the feature of doorstep services, also surfaced in his address. The administrator also augured that steps have also been set in motion for the clients of CCBL to extend facilities to them at par with clients availing facilities of modern banking and informed that debit card facility to the clients of CCBL shall also fructify soon.
Earlier, the staff also gave an impressive and warm welcome to former Chairman CCBL, Advocate B.S Manhas, Director SR College of Competitions and former Director CCBL, Praveen Kumar Sharma, Managing Director CCBL, Ashok Goswami, President Chambers of Commerce and Industry Jammu, Rakesh Gupta and all other dignitaries present on the occasion.
Prior to the felicitation function, the CCBSA conducted elections under the banner and control of the Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation (JPBEF). The election proceedings were conducted by the senior Comrade Arun Gupta (General Secretary JPBEF) in the presence of Comrade Tickoo (Vice President JPBEF) wherein Comrade Sanjeev Lamba and elected unanimously as President of the CCBSA for consecutive term.
President Chambers of Commerce in his address appreciated the unabated steps and reformative role of Dr Arun Manhas in restoring confidence of people of Jammu in the bank and assured the best possible support.
Stage Secretary, Comrade Shakti Dutt Sharma and President, Sanjeev Lamba expressed their gratitude to all the other dignitaries. Comrade Rajeev Jandyal (Chairman CCBSA) expressed vote of thanks.
