JAMMU: In view of Mahanavami and Dussehra, the SSP Traffic City Jammu Shiv Kumar Sharma took stock of Traffic management in City of Temples on Saturday.
SSP Traffic stressed upon the Officers /officials to take all necessary measures for smoothening flow of traffic in winter Capital of J&K by strictly enforcing the motor vehicle Act/Rules with zero tolerance against visible offences like driving without wearing seat belt, helmet & over speed, stunt driving etc. Sharma further impressed upon the officers/officials to exhibit high sense of responsibility and generous behavior while dealing with people. He gave directions to the officers to ensure a visible change on ground with a people-friendly attitude and for this, technology-oriented gadgetry and other implements shall be provided to officers for traffic regulations and enforcement. SSP Traffic directed that traffic officers should wear body-worn cameras during Challaning and have a good turnout while performing their duties. He further added that after Sunset every Officer/Official should wear florescent Jackets and also ensure presence of manpower on road.
