SSP reviews functioning of Traffic Police City Jammu

JAMMU: Faisal Qureshi, Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic City Jammu, reviewed the functioning of traffic police in the city.
The review meeting was attended by Raj Paul Singh Additional SP Traffic Jammu, Bikram Kumar DySP (T) City South, Satish Kumar DySP (T) City Rural and other police officials.
The performance of Officers/Officials was assessed and directions were imparted to all the concerned to make traffic of the city hassle free so that general public does not face any inconvenience. Moreover visible offences like driving without crash helmet, without seatbelt or driving license, mobile phone use while driving be strictly dealt with. SSP Traffic stressed that action should be taken against wrong parking which are cause of congestion in the city.
He stressed upon the officers to take all necessary measures to smoothen the flow of traffic at Parade, Indira Chowk, Dogra Chowk, Bus stand, Canal Road, Talab Tillo Road, Janipur, Ambphalla, Bakshi Nagar, Bikram Chowk, Narwal, Wave Mall, Kunjwani, Satwari and main towns of Akhnoor, Bishnah, RS Pura and Nagrota.
SSP Traffic also appreciated the officers for their best performance in regulating traffic during the months. He directed that they should work hard for the safety of the people and while dealing with different violators, their conduct should be honest, transparent and firm but not harsh.
He stressed that in view of forthcoming festivals like Baisakhi, Navratra’s Ramnavmi etc Officers/Officials should also stress on regulation of traffic to ensure congestion free traffic movement in the city.
