Stresses for proper vigil on all suspicious persons/activities

JAMMU: In view of forthcoming General Lok Sabha Elections-2024, SSP Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar held a review meeting of all the Incharge Police Posts and Border Police Posts at the conference hall of DPL Jammu.
SSP Jammu, on outset of the meeting. briefed all the participants about the instructions of higher ups, proper vigilance in their respective area of responsibilities for peaceful conduct of the Lok Sabha Elections-2024 as well as the conducting of quality investigation of the cases, crime disposal etc, surveillance over history sheeters, OGWs.
SSP Jammu stressed upon officers that drug peddlers be identified as well as forward and backward linkages of all the NDPS cases need to be worked out properly.
He further added that proper vigil need to be maintained on all the suspicious persons and their activities in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024.
He further impressed upon all the officers to visit various Polling Stations/locations in their areas and keep a close liaison with the Election Staff, BLOs, Numberdars, Chowkidars and confirm total number of voters in each Polling Stations, identify suitable routes, parking places, management of queues on polling day for smooth conduct of elections. In the end, all the officers were told to brief all the manpower of their respective units with regard to directions and instructions issued from time to time by the Senior formations.
