JAMMU: SSP Jammu, Dr Sunil Gupta on Tuesday launched a plantation drive in District Police Lines here by planting various types of trees.
On the occasion, SP Hqrs, R.C Kotwal, Line Officer and other officers/officials of DPL Jammu were present.
SSP Jammu said that trees play a vital role in purifying the environment and presently we are facing great threat of global warming which is very detrimental to our future.
He also sent a message for subordinate units of District Police Jammu for plantation of trees in their respective premises and their surroundings including all other suitable places.
