SSP Jammu inaugurates Day & Night Cricket Tournament

Jammu: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Shridhar Patil on Thursday inaugurated Day and Night Cricket Tournament being organized by Jammu Police in Simbal, near here.
SSP Jammu was flanked by SP Hqrs Jammu Aadil Hamid, SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SHO Miran Sahib Harmohinder Singh.
In all, 32 teams from Jammu District would be participating in a knock out basis and finalist would be given a prize money of Rs 30000 while runner up will get Rs 15000 cash prize viz a viz other prizes and gifts for many record makers. “We want to channelise the energy of the youth and this is a start in that direction”, SSP Jammu said.
Youngsters of area looked very enthusiastic and were thrilled to play under lights.
Opening match was played between Simbal Youth Club and Kolkatta Night Riders, which was won by Simbal Youth Club by six runs.
