JAMMU: SSP Jammu, Dr. Sunil Gupta stressed upon the officers for conducting the investigation of cases with great zeal and transparency and bring pendency to the minimum. This was stated by SSP while addressing a crime review meeting of Police Sub-Division East here today. SP South Shahzad Ahmed Salaria, SDPO City East, SHOs of Police Station Bahu Fort, Bagh-e-Bahu, Channi Himat, In-charge Police Post Narwal, Bathindi, Mandir Bahu Fort, Sainik Colony and Investigating Officers of these units were present in the meeting. At the outset, SSP examined the performance of police stations.
The main focus of the meeting was investigation of burglary, motor vehicle theft, NDPS Act and other cases. Besides, missing persons, inquest proceedings, arrest of absconders and action taken under preventive measures were also reviewed. SSP Jammu took the strict review for early finalisation of theft cases to give the relief to the general public. SSP Jammu personally check the case files of heinous offences and taking serious note of it and directed IOs to improve the quality of investigation and speedy disposal of cases assigned to them for conducting the investigation. He also advised the police stations staff to conduct foot patrolling in their respective jurisdictions and make the beat system stronger to avoid theft and other incidents.
SSP further directed the participants to help the people shifted from border area to safe place in their jurisdiction. At last, the investigating staff was directed to conduct the investigation of cases with zeal, dedication and with transparency at an earliest possible time in the public interest and bring the pendency to the minimum.
