SSP for ensuring stronger beat system, foot patrolling

JAMMU: SSP Jammu Dr. Sunil Gupta on Wednesday asked field staff to ensure stronger beat system and regular foot patrolling for curbing the crime effectively.
He was addressing a crime review meeting of Police Sub-Division Domana. SP Rural Arun Kumar, SDPO Domana, SHOs of Police Stations Domana and Kanha Chak, Incharges of Police Post Pouni Chak, Chinore, Sandwan, Gajansoo, Kirpalpur and Investigating Officers (IOs)of these units were present in the meeting.
The SSP also examined the performance of Police Station Domana and Kanha Chak besides that of Police Posts Pouni Chak, Chinore, Sandwan, Gajansoo and Kirpalpur. The focus of the meeting was investigation of burglary, motor vehicle theft, NDPS Act and other cases.
Besides, missing persons, inquest proceedings, arrest of absconders and action taken under preventive measures were also reviewed. SSP Jammu took the strict review for early finalization of theft cases to give the relief to the general public. SSP Jammu personally check the case files of heinous offences and taking serious note of it directed IOs to improve the quality of investigation and speedy disposal of cases assigned to them for conducting the investigation.
SSP further directed the participants to help and assist the people shifted from border areas to safer places in their jurisdiction.
