DODA: To ensure people friendly policing and to provide quick and prompt public service at police station and police post level, SSP Doda on Thursday held a meeting of Mohrar Head Constables (MHC) of all the police stations and police posts of District Doda here on Thursday.
SSP Doda Zahid Naseem Manhas said that the motive of the meeting was to ensure quick and prompt public service at police stations, police posts level besides immediate disposal of daily official work. The MHCs were briefed regarding their duties and proper maintenance of record at Sarishta level besides updating the Beat Books and intensifying the day/night patrolling to prevent theft/burglary.
“They were stressed upon to deal general public politely to build up their image and strengthen Police-Public relations,” SSP said.
The officials were also briefed to ensure quick disposal of verifications within stipulated time as per Public Service Guarantee Act, execution of warrants besides keeping hawks eyes upon the mischievous/disgruntled elements in their areas, as they are the first who interact with public on their visit to police stations, police posts.
However, some of MHCs have projected their genuine demands in the meeting and they were assured that their grievances shall be redressed on priority.
