POONCH: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pooch, J.S Johar declared open the Shaheed Manjit Singh Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Degree College Ground, here on Wednesday.
In the opening match, Konoyian Cricket Club (KCC) defeated Banpat Cricket Club. Batting first, KCC made 179 runs which in reply, Banpat could not chase and bowled out cheaply in the 13th over.
The Chief Guest interacted with the teams playing in the opening match. He was accompanied by Chairman of Manjit Singh Club, Mohd Tariq Khan.
Among others present were Additional SP Masroor Mir, DEPO Pooch, Makhan Lal, Principal Ram Saroop Sharma, DySP Headquarters, Mohan Lal and Pardeep Khanna.
Today’s match was officiated by the technical panel comprising Narjeet Singh, Davinder Dabur, Ishtaiq Ganai, Gurvinder Singh, Davinder Singh and Raiz Ahmed.
