SSH for better medical facility to Amaranth pilgrims

JAMMU: Expressing concern over number of casualties in Amarnath Yatra last year, Shiv Sena Hindustan on Thursday requested the State Government and the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board to focus on better medical facilities and infrastructure on Yatra route to avoid loss of lives. “We appeal to Govt and SASB to provide better medical and other infrastructural facilities so that such casualties should not happen in future,” SSH State President, Rajesh Kesari told reporters.

“We want that Government and Board should constitute a panel of doctors to concentrate on medical examination of all pilgrims for combating the growing number of casualties,” he said. He also demanded for waiving off all tax on Amaranth pilgrims.

He also urged upon the government to provide better medical and other facilities like shelters, drinking water and power supply arrangements for the Yatra pilgrims at base camp Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar.

Meanwhile, Rajesh Kesari also nominated Shiv Kumar Sharma as Chairman of the party, Rajan Gupta-Working President, Parveen Gupta-Senior Vice President, Munishwar Singh, Vinod Sharma and Nitin Gupta Vice Presidents, Vimal Bandhari, Rakesh Verma, Inderjeet Singh, Pal Singh and Sandeep Kumar as General Secretaries.
