JAMMU: Shiv Sena (AG) and Dogra Front (SS&DF) on Tuesday staged a demonstration against traffic cops and Shri Amarnath Yatra registration administration for causing undue harassment to cave shrine bound devotees on one or the other pretext.
Addressing the gathering, Ashok Gupta President SS&DF alleged that instead of facilitating, the traffic cops are harassing Kashmir bound vehicles of Yatris by misbehaving with them and demanding money on one or the other pretext.
He also accused Yatra registration administration for inadequate arrangements at the two registration counters in the city.
He sought intervention of Governor in the matter seeking online registration facility for the Yatris as enshrined in the recently launched Digital India campaign besides basic amenities at the Yatra counters at Parade and Bhagwati Nagar. He also demanded stringent action against those traffic cops who are indulging in harassment of Yatris giving a bad name to the State and its people.
Birbal, Nanku, Surjeet, Daya Ram, Roop Lal, Bantu, Ram Paul, Nikku and Abhishek were also present.
