DODA: A Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawan posted at Jathi area in Tehsil Assar of District Doda died due to heart attack on Tuesday.
According to reports, Raj Dev Singh (43) son of Harbans Singh resident of Kathua posted as cook in Counter Insurgency (CI) Wing of 7 Battalion SSB in Jathi area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Assar, suddenly fell down while complaining of acute chest pain and breathlessness this afternoon. His colleagues immediately shifted him to Primary Health Center(PHC) Assar in unconscious condition from where he was shifted to District Hospital Doda where doctors declared him as brought dead.
“After postmortem and completing other legal formalities, the body of the deceased (who died of sudden cardiac arrest) was handed over to his unit,” police officer said.
