JAMMU: All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retired Employees Association criticized the attitude of the Transport Department authorities for fooling of the VRS/GHS employees of J and K SRTC by giving them VRS on the account being surplus staff whereas it was not the reality.
President VRS Union, Dev Raj Bali stated that till date the authorities have not cleared the dues of retired SRTC VRS employees as it was promised that one who took the VRS his accounts in all respects will be settled within 60 days adding that it is unfortunate to state that more than five years have passed but the dues have not been cleared.
The association unanimously decided to hold protest on 9th May, 2016 at Exhibition Ground Jammu and appealed to all J and K SRTC VRS/GHS and normally retirees to take part in this demonstration.
Among others who were present in the meeting include Balwinder Singh, Surinder Singh, Kulbir Singh, Dwarka Nath, V.V Sharma, Sain Mohammad and Gulshan Singh.
