STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Jammu and Kashmir, has strongly condemned the statement of former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in a section of press that said that Kashmir’s “disaffected” have got a “new icon” in Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani and his death will recruit more militants than when he lived. In a press release issued here today, SRS State President Rajiv Mahajan said that Omar Abdullah never said this while he was himself Chief Minister of the State. Making fool of the innocent public is tradition of politicians for vote bank, said Mahajan and asked Omar Abdullah to refrain from making such statements. Mahajan said no militancy can raise its head anywhere in this world until the dispensation of that place is lenient towards militants. Mahajan lamented that militancy has risen to an alarming height in Jammu and Kashmir especially in Valley since the present dispensation took over the reins of State. He asked Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to deal strictly with anti-national elements.
Mahajan said killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani is great success for security forces and peace loving people of Valley. Mahajan expressed concern that the mosques that are meant for remembering/ praising God are being misused to flare communal tension as slogans for ‘Azadi’ and in favour of dreaded militants resonate from the mosques through loud speakers. Mahajan demanded strict vigil on these activities in mosques and action against the culprits under law of the land.
Mahajan further demanded shoot at sight order be given to security agencies on stone pelters and those holding anti- national rallies. He said the anti-national elements know it very well that security forces can do no harm to them as they (security force) have no orders to harm miscreants and the miscreants make use of this lenient posture of the government making security forces an easy target and killing them like lambs. It is enough now, no security personnel should be sacrificed for wrong policies of State/ Central Government.
Mahajan appealed to Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Home Minister Rajnath Singh to rectify their policies about dealing with militants and traitors so that they cannot raise their head against the security forces henceforth. Mahajan further appealed to Defence Minister and Home Minister to vest power to security forces to deal with anti- national elements with iron hand and if need arises to shoot the miscreant dead. No power to security forces to deal with militancy has made our valiant force personnel handicapped and militants kill them as hapless lamb. Sacrificing security personnel is unacceptable, Mahajan added.
