As per, a tweet from Srinagar Police, which lies with reads that the numbers to contact are: PCR Srinagar: 9596222550, SSP office: 9596770502, Distt Police Lines: 9419133643, and PCR Landline: 01942477567. The police department assures immediate assistance to anyone who reaches out for help.
“The move comes as a proactive measure by the police department to ensure the safety and well-being of the citizens during the harsh weather conditions. The public is encouraged to contact these numbers in case of any emergency or assistance required. The police department has urged people to take necessary precautions and stay safe during this time.”
Further, “the weather in Srinagar has been unpredictable in recent days with heavy snowfall and sub-zero temperatures. The police department’s initiative to establish these helplines will go a long way in ensuring the safety of the citizens and providing them with necessary assistance during these trying times.”
