JAMMU: J and K State Sports Council cleared the State team for the 68th Junior National Basketball Championship to be held at Goutam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh from 4th-11th June, 2017.
The screening of the team was conducted on Wednesday by the Screening Committee of the Council comprising Joint Secretary State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma, Member Sports Council Arjun Choudhary, Divisional Sports Officer Jammu Ravi Singh and Manager Indoor Complex Satish Gupta.
The team comprises Abhinav Sharma, Gourav Rajwal, Sumit Singh, Shivam Heer, Hritik Choudhary, Rohit Kumar, Ryan Rashid, Mujtaba Manzoor, Haroon Tufail, Shashwat Sharma, Madhav Padha, Shivam Sharma and Anirudh Sharma (Stand by).
Aman Sharma, Senior coach of the Sports Authority of India shall be the Head Coach of the team while Harpreet Singh shall be the technical official. Others present on the occasion included Dr. Vikram Handa, Secretary JKBA, Amarjeet Singh, Chairman Selection Committee and Sushma Jamwal, Basketball Coach of the JKSSC. The team has been sponsored by the JKSSC.
