JAMMU: Heritage School to face KC Public School and Mayank Goswani Cricket Club in the finals of indoor and outdoor cricket tournament respectively in the ongoing Sportathon Cup 2016, organized by KC Sports Club, here tomorrow.
Earlier in the second semifinal in indoor cricket played on Wednesday, Heritage School outplayed KC Sports Club.
Batting first after winning the toss, KCSC made 40 runs in 10 overs. Mohsin and Sahil scored nine and eight runs respectively. For Heritage School, Shalok and Faizan shared two wickets each. Heritage School made the required target in 8.5 overs. Aarsh was the top scorer with 15 runs while Tushar and Tarun also contributed 11 runs each. For KCSC, Abhay and Ashank shared two wickets each.
In second semifinal of outdoor cricket, Heritage School again defeated KCSC.
Batting first, KCSC set a target of 124 runs in 20 overs. Amaan and Dikshant were the top scorers with 37 and 26 runs respectively. For Heritage School, Virender and Farooq shared two wickets each.
Heritage School managed to chase the target in 19 overs. Farooq was the top scorer with 47 runs and Arsh also contributed 36 runs. For KCSC, Uttkarsh took one wicket.
