ANANTNAG: One day camp was held here in Town Hall on Tuesday aimed to assess the physical condition of differently able–children. The camp was organized by Chief Education Officer Anantnag in collaboration with Co-ordinator IED and Surva Shiksha Abhiyan. As many as 2,485 differently able-children have been screened in the camp. Of them, 264 have been assessed visibly impaired while 237 were provided spectacles on-the- spot.
The DDC Anantnag Bashir Ahmad Khan, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, distributed spectacles among these children. The camp was attended by Chief Education Officer, Anantnag, District Co-ordinator IED Anantnag and all the Zonal education officers of the district.
