HIRANAGAR : NSS special winter camp organised by NSS unit of Govt. Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Degree College, Hiranagar concluded here on Friday. On this occasion a colorful function was organised by NSS volunteers in the premises of college campus which includes skit, dances , Bhangra, patriotic songs etc.
Prof. Sohan Lal Bhagat Principal of the College was the Chief Guest and Prof. Daya Vilas (HoD Physics) was the Guest of Honour on this occasion.
The programme started with the lighting of traditional lamp by the Chief Guest and the staff members followed by Sarswati bandana.
Chief Guest in his address lauded the role of NSS volunteers and appreciated them. He advised the NSS volunteers to act as role model for other students and share their experience of camp with them. They were asked to spread the messages of resource persons to the door step of the people so that the poor and needy can get the benefits from the various schemes launched by the Govt. of India for their betterment.
Kumeerjeet senior volunteers of NSS conducted the proceedings of the programme. Vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Vijay Kumar Chandan NSS Programme Officer of the College.
Chief Guest distributed the trophies in various events conducted during the seven days special camp.
