JAMMU: Secretary, Labour and Employment Department, Shahid Anayatullah convened a meeting to review the implementation of various Labour Laws and disbursement of financial assistance to Building Construction Workers.
The meeting was also attended by Labour Commissioner, J and K, Special Secretary, Labour and Employment Department, Director Finance, Labour and Employment Department, Deputy Labour Commissioners, CEO/Secretary J and K Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Besides, all Assistant Labour Commissioners and Inspectors of factories were present in the meeting.
The meeting also reviewed the implementation of J and K Building and Other Constructions Workers Welfare Cess Act, 1996.
The Assistant Labour Commissioners gave detailed resume of their performance and achievements.
While appreciating the performance of the officers Anayatullah asked them to further gear up their field functionaries and adopt a proactive result oriental approach to ensure labour welfare.
The Secretary directed for conducting a special Labour Audit of Industrial Area of Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Budgam.
