Speaker launches water pipe laying work

JAMMU: Speaker, legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta on Friday conducted extensive tour of Narwal and adjoining areas and listened to people’s issues and demands in the area.
The Speaker also launched works for laying of drinking water pipes at Doongian Gujjar Mohalla and Narwal Bala Gujjar Mohalla to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.50 lakh under constituency Development Fund (CDF). The work is being carried out by PHE Department and would be completed within a week’s time. He informed the people that the prestigious water scheme at Panjpir and Batala, completed at a cost of Rs. 18 crore, would be dedicated to the people of the area soon.
He said the scheme would benefit about 250 families of the area.
