JAMMU: In view of present security scenario and forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Suram Singh SP Railways, Jammu held a security and crime review meeting here in his office chamber at Railway Station. The said meeting was attended by SDPO Railways Jammu/ Vijaypur, Dy.SP GRP Lines Jammu and all Incharge of Police Stations and PPs of GRP Jammu.
During the meeting, the existing security arrangements, deployment, track checking and other such security issues connected with safety and security of railway track, trains and passengers were discussed. All the participants were asked to remain well connected and work in tandem with each other in view of present security scenario and forthcoming of Amarnath Yatra with regard to security duties, as the security of Railways is the prime concern of every one. All the participants were briefed that compromise with security related duties shall not be tolerated at any cost as GRP is meant for the security of both men and material of Railways. “GRP Jammu has to take proper care of the security of railways by utilizing the services of available manpower prudently. To thwart the evil designs of anti national elements and anti social elements there is need to remain vigilant and active”, the meeting resolved.
SP Railways Jammu also reviewed all the pending cases of all Police Stations of GRP Jammu. Necessary directions were given to speed up the disposal of the pending cases. The concerned officers were directed that the Departmental enquiries be disposed off on fast track basis and disposal of pending complaints be done speedily. Moreover, directions were issued that the inquest proceedings should be disposed quickly and every inquest proceeding be viewed with suspicious angle so that the actual cause of death could be worked out.
