SRINAGAR: KK Football Club and Mehraj Sports won their matches to qualify for next level on the ongoing South Kashmir Police Public Football Tournament, played at Government Degree College Ground, Anantnag on Monday.
The tournament is being organised by District Police Anantnag in collaboration with District Sports Council.
The first match was played between Mehraj Sports and Nashaman Sports Anantnag that was won by Mehraj Sports by 1-0. The second match was played between KKFC vs Islamiya Football Club in which KKFC emerged as the winner team by 1-0.
The Chief Prosecuting Officer Anantnag was Chief Guest on the occasion.
In all, 32 teams including teams from J&K Bank, J and K Police, J and K Food and Supplies, J and K Forests and teams from other districts viz Pulwama, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Shopian, Budgam and Baramulla are participating in the tournament.
