Rangyug’s Young Voices Mohit & Krishna Add Grace to Sawan Mahotsav

JAMMU: As the sacred month of Sawan unfolds, the ancient Panjvaktra Mahadev Mandir in Jammu continues to draw scores of devotees through its spiritually uplifting Bhajan Sandhyas held every Monday.
This week’s soulful evening featured Surmani Dr. Jasmeet Kaur, a distinguished classical vocalist whose powerful yet serene renditions of devotional bhajans stirred deep spiritual emotions among the audience. An A-Grade artist of Akashvani and disciple of the celebrated duo Pandit Rajan and Sajan Mishra, Dr. Kaur is the daughter of renowned singer Sudarshan Kour Keerti. Her expressive performance, rooted in the rich Hindustani classical tradition, brought contemplative depth and spiritual calm to the Bhajan Sandhya.
The evening also witnessed delightful performances by Mohit and Krishna, promising young classical singers from Rangyug Sangeet Vidyalaya, who are currently training under Guru Ashutosh Magotra and Guru Pankaj Pradhan. They captivated the audience with their sincere devotion and blossoming artistry. Their renditions showed their hard work, dedication and growing confidence in classical music and the audience appreciated them with warm applause.
Expert musicians Pankaj Pradhan and Deep Sehgal on (Harmonium) Parshottam Kumar (Pakhawaj), Rakesh Anand (Flute), and Dr. Vinay and Ram ji (Tabla), Harsh Kapoor on Guitar accompanied the bhajans, weaving soulful rhythms that elevated the devotional experience for the gathering.
The program commenced with traditional invocations, including Ved Vyas Stuti and Vedic mantra chanting by students of the Panjvaktra Mahadev Ved Pathshala, reflecting the temple’s ongoing efforts to inspire the younger generation towards spiritual heritage.
Suresh Kumar Sharma, Receiver, Panjvaktra Mahadev Mandir, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the artists, devotees and supporters for making the event truly meaningful. He especially acknowledged the commendable performances by young artists who are playing a vital role in preserving and celebrating our rich cultural heritage.
