SOS resents Govt apathy towards POK displaced persons
RS PURA: In continuation to our Janjagran Abhiyan started some two-months back SOS International-an organisation for displaced persons from PoK organised a programme at village Badyal Brahamana which was attended by august gathering.
The Chairman SOS. International Rajiv Chuni deliberated the outcome of the struggles of the 1947- PoK displaced families and also expressed his pain over the results of the struggles so far.
In his address Chuni expressed his worry about their struggle because even after 67- years of our fight for our rights we are nowhere near the solutions and are still designated as Displaced Persons. “We the Displaced Persons of Mirpur, Poonch and Muzaffarabad are fighting for the rights with each other and are not united and are not working in a single podium” he said adding that the successive governments in the State and the Center only paid lip-sympathy to our cause and they listen to our problems only at the time of elections and forget to all the promises there after.
Pt. Mela Ram Sharma was the Chief Guest, Om Parkash Sharma Sarpanch, Prabdayal Lambardar, Capt. Bishamber Nath, Rajesh Sharma and Roshan Lal also expressed their views, Lalit Kumar conducted the stage proceedings.
