JAMMU: J and K Softball Association on Saturday selected its senior team for 36th Senior National Softball Championship scheduled to be held at Nagpur, Maharashtra from 6th to 11th January.
Prior to selection, trials were held followed by 11-day coaching camp at GGM Science College Ground here from 21st to 22nd December, 2104 under the monitoring of J and K State Sports Council. Both man and women teams will leave for Nagpur on Sunday.
Divisional Sport Officer, J and K State Sports Council, Rajan Sharma and General Secretary, J and K Softball Association, C.L Bhat were also present on the occasion.
Men: Padam Dev (captain), Vishal Chib, Rawat Singh, Verinder Singh, Sandeep Sani, Sachin Jamwal, Anil Choudhary, Jasbir Singh, Pardeep Kumar, Ayush Singh, Ankit Bhat, Aman Singh, Tariq Ahmed, Sahil Thapa, Ajay Singh and Rakesh Singh.
Women: Bipna Devi (captain), Rashmi Bhau, Priyanka Manhas, Samiksha Mardan, Nayna, Ashima Pathania, Sanjogta, Gulshan Begum, Monika Manhas, Usmat Hunief, Zahida, Samdeep Kour, Farida, Surekha Rani, Shehar Hussain and Inderpal Kour.
Teams will be accompanied by Rohit Singh Jamwal, Ashwani Jaral, Dheeraj Singh and Muneera Malik.
