JAMMU: Social Movement Party (SMP) asked members of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Class (OBC) categories to quit Hinduism for ultimate solution of their problems.
National Secretary General SMP, Ashok Kumar Basotra, while talking to reporters here on Monday, expressed serious concern over the incidents of atrocities on SCs, STs and OBCs in the country and held Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) completely responsible of the same.
He also alleged that the BJP-PDP Coalition Government in the Jammu and Kashmir State failed to implement reservation in promotion of SCs, STs and OBCs, 27 per cent reservation in favour of OBCs and to induct MLA/MLC from amongst the OBC till date.
Prominent persons present in the press-conference were Hem Raj Phonsa, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shali, Dayal Singh, Dheeraj Thapa, Dr. Jeet Raj Bazala and Purshotam Kumar.
