JAMMU: Announcement of two separate smart cities one each for Jammu as well as for Srinagar will surely modernise the mid-sized cities and pave way for modern day amenities at par with any other city in the country. This Smart Cities Mission once implemented in J and K State will also ensure urban renewal and make our cities citizen friendly besides sustainable.
This was stated by PDP leader, Abdul Hamid Choudhary who added that by adding Jammu and Srinagar in this project Coalition Government in the State has been provided with an opportunity to seek ample finances for equipping our cities with basic infrastructure which in turn will ensure good quality of life to the citizens. This project will not only assure adequate water and power supply but also lay emphasis on sanitation and solid waste management, efficient urban mobility and public transport system besides robust IT connectivity, e-governance and citizen participation along with safety of its citizens, he added.
