Small sugar declines on reduced demand
Mumbai, Nov 12 (PTI) Small sugar prices declined further at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to reduced demand from stockists and bulk consumers amid adequate stock positions.
Meanwhile, medium sugar prices ended mixed on alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Small sugar (S-30) fell by Rs 16/7 per quintal to Rs 2,886/2,982 from Tuesday’s closing level of Rs 2,902/2,982.
Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 2,992/3,166 as against Rs 3,036/3,155 yesterday.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,886/2,975 (Rs 2,902/2,982).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,992/3,166 (Rs 3,036/3,155).
