Slathia seeks action against land grabbers

JAMMU: Asking State Government and Revenue Department for taking appropriate action against the land grabbers and restoring the properties to legal owner, President, Mandli J and K Surya Gram Vikas Samiti Jammu, a Non Government Organisation (NGO), Jaseel Singh Slathia along with locals held a strong protest, here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Jaseel Singh said that the properties viz. land including a residential house and shops situated at Channi Manasan in Tehsil and District Samba bearing Khasra No. 212, have been grabbed by some notorious persons where after the actual owner had lodged a complaint with Inspector General of Police Crime Branch for investigation vide his representation dated 24th February, 2014.
Slathia said that the case had been forwarded by the IGP Crime Branch to the Deputy Commissioner Samba on 8th August, 2014 for making an enquiry into the matter for appropriate action.
“Despite lapse of more than two years the revenue authorities concerned have not settled the dispute by taking appropriate action in the matter which shows its failure to make investigations to restore the lands to the applicant,” he alleged.
He urged the revenue authorities to identifying the culprits responsible tampering of revenue record of his land measuring 8 Kanals 12 Marlas bearing Khasra No. 212.
