JAMMU: Dr. Sanjay, a senior faculty member, presently working in the extension system of the SKUAST-J has been conferred with the Outstanding Extension Worker Award for his meritorious services towards the farming community.
The award was conferred on him during the recent executive meeting of the Society for Agriculture Development and Innovation, a leading international society for the welfare of the farming community at Kathmandu, Nepal. The award contains a Certificate of Excellence, Gold Medal along with memento.
It is pertinent to mention here that during the illustrious career of twelve years, the services of Dr. Khajuria have been widely recognised by Union, State Government as well as by various leading scientific societies. He has been decorated with Highly Dedicated Officer Award from the Department of Higher Education, Government of J and K for his contribution of generating entrepreneurship development among the college pass outs and dropouts, Certificate of Honour from Department of Horticulture, Government of J and K for conservation, promotion and capacity building in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants, Letter of Appreciation from CSIR, GOI for organising and coordinating various workshops in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants, Young Scientist Award for meritorious services in the field of Forestry and Agro Forestry, Certificate of Appreciation from Ministry of Finance, GOI for contribution in building the nation, etc. Besides this, Dr. Khajuria has many publications of national and international repute to his credit including full length research papers, book chapters, abstracts, articles etc.
