SRINAGAR: Department of Surgical Gastroenterology, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) organised young surgeons’ meet here on Saturday.
Director SKIMS and Ex-officio, who was Chief Guest on the occasion, complimented Organising Chairman Dr. Omar Javid Shah for organising this significant academic event after floods. Appreciating the endeavour, the Chief Guest said that organising young surgeons’ meet in addition to annual post graduate research programme will further boost the academic atmosphere on campus.
Organising Chairman Dr. Omar Javid Shah said, “Young surgeons’ meet is an initiative taken by SKIMS to provide platform to young medical practitioners for presenting their work and explore new techniques in the field through quality research”.
Dean SKIMS Dr. Gul Javid underscored the importance of research and these academic activities.
Chairman Surgery, Dr. Khursheed Alam hoped that this will encourage young researchers in earning global recognition which comes only through quality research.
