BILLAWAR: Police arrested six gamblers and recovered Rs 71,185 from the gambling spot.
According to a report, during intervening night of 23rd-24th Oct 2014, a party of Police Station Billawar acting on specific information arrested six gamblers along with cash amounting to Rs.71,185 as stake money and playing cards. They were gambling near Link Road Koti (Billawar). The arrested gamblers were identified as Romesh Singh son of Punnu Ram resident of Tilla Tehsil Billawar, Raju son of Jagdish Singh resident of Billawar, Anant Ram son of Jamitu Ram resident of Dhar Dugnoo Tehsil Billawar, Kirpal Singh son of Dhuni Chand resident of Tilla Tehsil Billawar, Karan Singh son of Gian Singh resident of Tilla Tehsil Billawar and Parkash Singh son of Bhuri Singh resident of Garh Tehsil Billawar. Police has booked all the gamblers under Gambling Act.
