SRINAGAR: Anantnag police arrested six gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs. 6,035 from their possession. Police raided in the house of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Sheikh, resident of Bonpora Akingam and arrested six gamblers including Ghulam Mohi-ud-din, Reyaz Ahmad Khanday, son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Aanchidoora, Ghulam Hassan Naikoo, son of Abdul Salam, r/o Hangalgund, Kokernag, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Satar, resident of Nunwani, Mohammad Yousuf Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Sherpora and Mudasir Ahmad Malik, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Arwani. Stake money of Rs. 6035 and two bundles of playing cards were recovered from the site. A case FIR No. 19/16 under Section 13 of Gambling Act was registered in Police Station Achabal.
