Six drug peddlers arrested, heroin recovered

JAMMU: Police on Monday arrested six drug peddlers and recovered eleven grams of heroin from their possession.
According to reports, police party led by SHO Miran Sahib, Hilal Azhar laid a Naka at Kirpind Road Miran Sahib and intercepted one Alto car (JK11A/ 3820) and a motorcycle (JK02AP/ 5322), during checking nine grams of heroin was recovered from the vehicles. Both the vehicles were seized on the spot.
The drug peddlers have been identified as Tariq Mehmood son of Javed Ahmed Choudhary, resident of Harsa Dabbar Bishnah; Puran Chand alias Sonu son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Ward No. 1 Bishnah; Ankush Salgotra alias Tony son of Harmesh Kumar, resident of Mehmoodpur Bishnah; Rohit Sharma son of Rakesh Sharma, resident of Nowgran Bishnah and Aruneshwar Singh Charak alias Ankush Chib son of Shamsher Singh Charak, resident of Babliana Bishnah.
A case FIR No. 02/2016 under Section 8/21/22/29/ NDPS Act was registered. The arrest was made by SHO Miran Sahib, Hilal Azhar under the supervision of SDPO R.S Pura Harjeet Singh and SP Headquarters Ramesh Kotwal under the close supervision of SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
Meanwhile, Gangyal police, during a Naka at Kunjwani, arrested a drug peddler and recovered two grams of heroin from his possession.
The drug peddler has been identified as Ranvijay Singh alias Manu son of Balraj Singh, resident of Bishnah. According to reports, Ranvijay was the main supplier of drugs in gangyal area and also selling drugs among youths of the area.
A case FIR No 2 under Section 8/20 NDPS was registered at Police Station Gangyal.
The police party was led by Inspector Aejaz Wani SHO Gangyal under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta, SP South Shehzad Salaria and SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand.
