CHATROO: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Inderwal, G. M. Saroori while meeting with Sarpanchs, Panchs and general public of Tehsil Chatroo at Dak Bunglow Chatroo said that the road connecting Sinthan of Chatroo in Kishtwar District with Vailoo from Anantnag side will be made operational within two week’s time.
He said road connecting the population of more than fifty thousands of Sub-Division Chatroo stands blocked due to heavy snowfall at Sinthan Top. He said that, he had issued the direction to OC GREF for early clearance of this road and within two week’s time this prestigious road will be made operational.
Tehsildar Chatroo Sheetal Singh, XEn R&B Chatroo, BMO Chatroo, SHO Chatroo besides officers from RDD, PHE, CAPD, PDD, R&B and Revenue were also present.
Saroori asked the officers to involve the Panchs, Sarpanchs, in making plan of development works under various flagship programmes of the government and called upon them for positive contribution for grassroots development. He also listened to the problems of elected members of Panchayats.
He urged Tehsildar Chatroo, Mugalmaidan and BDOs to hold monthly meetings with departments which had been associated with the Panchayats. Saroori also asked Sarpanchs and Panchs to formulate charter of demands in respect of each Panchayat and raise the issue during the grievance redressal camps and meetings.
The meeting also discussed the status of the construction of various Panchayat Ghars and various rural development schemes.
