Singh Club in final of Vishva Bandu cricket tournament

AKHNOOR: Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor on Thursday made it to the final of the ongoing 34th Vishav Bandu Cricket Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School Ground, here.
In the semifinal, Singh Club defeated Street Warriors Akhnoor by 16 runs. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Singh Club set a target of 185 runs for nine wickets in allotted 20 overs.
Chandan Sharma remained top scorer with 81 runs while Shanty and Sunny contributed 32 and 15 runs respectively. For Street Warriors, Arush emerged as most successful bowler with four wickets while JV took two.
In reply, Street Warriors bowled out for 168 runs in 19.4 overs to lose the game. Sham Singh Langeh, Pankaj and Binny shared two wickets each.
Chandan was declared Man of the Match for his brilliant batting. The semifinal was officiated by Madan Lal and Ashu Mangotra as Umpires while Manik Sharma was Scorer.
