Simula T20 Super League;Simula Club, JK Sports Promoters, JCC win ties

JAMMU: Simula Club, J and K Sports Promoters Club and Jammu Cricket Club registered win in the ongoing Simula T20 Super League being organised by Simula Global Group of Companies and Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at Science College Hostel Ground, here on Tuesday.
In opening match of the day, Simula Club defeated Singh Cricket Club by 42 runs.
Batting first, Simula Club set a challengeable target of 173 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Hardeep Singh smashed 70 runs followed by Shashi, who played equally well and made 54 and Atul added 14 runs to the total. For Singh Club, Sunil took three wickets while Sham and Nadeem shared apiece each. In reply, Singh Club failed to chase the target and managed to score 131 runs in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets. Sonu and Sunny made 45 and 43 respectively while Nadeem added 26 run to the total. For Simula Club, Raman Dutta was the wrecker in chief who claimed five wickets while Hardeep Singh took three and Kuldeep and Puneet shared one wicket each. Hardeep Singh for his match winning knock was adjudged Man of the Match and awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1,000.
In the second match, J and K Sports Promoters outplayed Rainawari Cricket Club by five wickets. Batting first, Rainawari Club scored 126 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Athsham with 33, Puneet 21 and Musaif 21 runs were the main scorers. For J and K Sports Promoters, R.K Bhat took two wickets, while Shamsher, Rompy, Ramandeep and Vitual Bakshi shared apiece each. J and K Sports Promoters Club, in reply achieved the target in 15.3 overs for the loss of five wickets. Abhinav Puri scored 41 runs while Rohan Gill R.K Bhat contributed 17 and 16 runs respectively.
For Rainawari Club, Praful picked three wickets while Puneet and Sachin grabbed one wicket each. R.K Bhat was adjudged Man of the Match and awarded with cash prize Rs. 1,000.
In last match of the day, JCC trounced Shastri Club by 51 runs. Batting first, JCC scored 168 runs in 16 overs. Subham with 48, Surya 42 and Vishwajeet Singh 35 runs were the top scorers. For Shastri Club, Anchal took two wickets while Arvind and Vicky shared one each.
In reply, Shastri club could not achieve the target and made 117 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 16 overs. Avesh scored 28 runs followed by Anchal and Vishal, who scored 17 and 14 runs respectively.
For JCC, Deepak was the main bowler who took five wickets, Vivek took two and Rohit and Paras shared one each. Deepak was adjudged Man of the Match and awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1.000. Today’s matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Saleem Ur Rehman, Madan Mohan, Sandeep and Vinod Kandayara.
