JAMMU: On attaining the age of superannuation Sub Inspector Jagdish Singh Jamwal of Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu was given a grand and warm send off by the officers/ staff of Zonal Police Headquarters.
The function was chaired by IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh, among other officers and staff of ZPHQ Jammu amidst strict protocol/SOP in connection with COVID-19.
Speakers highlighted and lauded the work /efforts put in by the retiree officer during his long span of 41 years, two months and five days wherein after joining the department in the year 1979 as Constable he remained posted in Executive wing (23 years), CID wing (15 years), Traffic wing (03 years). For his outstanding performance in duties many a times he earned number of class Ist, 2nd and 3rd Commendations certificates/ cash rewards and appreciations.
Moreover for his utmost excellence towards his duties he has been awarded with Director General of Police Commendation Certificate (DGP Medal) in the year 2015 and further President’s police Medal for meritorious services in the year 2017.
The farewell party was held in appreciation to the services rendered by him to the institution where department wished him a happy and prosperous post retirement life make the department and society feel proud.
